| Ask Carl Magnus Palm When you research for a new ABBA related book, what do you consider to be your most important research? Fans / old newspaper articles / direct interviews etc?
CMP: All of the above, in different respects. Newspaper/magazine articles plus radio and television programmes I guess constitute the really important groundwork. Although interviews with those involved can be really helpful, it can be often be an overrated method of gaining information unless you carefully weigh the recollections of those interviewees against established facts and articles etc. that were actually published at the time.
