Listen to A-Teens CD today already Preview at Aftonbladet Klubb Puls A-Teens' success continues. After a concert at Malmöfestivalen yesterday evening singing for 30 000 fans, they'll stand on the same stage as Whitney Houston tomorrow. Starting today you can listen to the Swedish success-youngsters' debut album on the internet. "Take A Chance On Me", "Dancing Queen" and "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" - the Swedish teenage-idols continues to line up ABBA's big hits on the new album. -The album contains only ABBA-songs, most of them in updated versions, Marie "Anni-Frid" Serneholt, 16, says. She and her friends have just walked off the stage at Malmöfestivalen. Besides herself with joy She's besides herself with joy when she talks about the 30 000 fans in the audience. -An incredible feeling. I just saw an ocean of people, she saw. The group broke through this spring with "Mamma Mia". The success was quickly followed by a summertour with 14 concerts which soon will end. -It's been so much fun. I myself have been longing for each weekend, Marie says. I've heard that many people are tired of "Mamma Mia". Are you also tired of it? -No, at least I'm not. But I can understand if people are getting tired of it. It's been played a lot. The success causes problems when it comes to schoolwork. -Just because of that I've taken a sabbatical year. We've solved the problem in different ways. The others have private teachers, Marie says. What does your fall schedule look like? -A lot of traveling and promotion, for example in Japan and the US. Going to London Today A-Teens go to London to participate in a popular youth program on TV. And tomorrow the successful band stop at their next destination. Then A-Teens will do the opening act for the superstar Whitney Houston in Poland. -It's actually insane. I said "Oh my God, hold on a moment" when I found out about it. -It feels so weird. She's one of my biggest idols. Yesterday I watched the movie "The Bodyguard" to get into the mood, Marie says. Written by Kristian Borglund |
