A Teens: Our success is much because of ABBA

The ABBA-fever continues. A Teens enter at number one with "The ABBA Generation" on the albumchart this week. In addition their singles are number four and number twelve.

Last November they were auditioning and became A Teens. Since then their triumphal procession has swept the world.

-It's incredible. Everything has happened so fast that it's insane, says 15-year old Dhani Lennevald a k a "Björn".

A Teens debut album was released on August 25th. Now "The ABBA Generation" has gone platinum (80 000 copies) in Sweden. After one week the album had gone gold in Norway and is the highest chart entry on the albumchart in Holland. The single "Mamma Mia" has sold 120 000 copies and "Super Trouper" 80 000.

-Our success is much because of ABBA, Dhani Lennevald says. But people probably also like the way our versions are.

Apart from A Teens high chartpositions, ABBA's collection album "ABBA Gold" is at number 12 this week. This Thursday (today) A Teens go to England to perform on the TV-program "Top Of The Pops".
