Sweden's new export
Now ABBA Teens will be introduced all around the world

ABBA conquered the world in the 70's. But the 2000's belongs to ABBA Teens

-They can get at least as big as Robyn, says Anders Johansson at the record
company Stockholm Records.

Their first single hasn't been released yet. But ABBA Teens are ready to amaze the world.
Four completely average Swedish teens with access to ABBA's treasure of songs can become Sweden's new music export.

ABBA-hysteria in England

Right now the group is preparing for an international launch with a big PR-campaign in Scandinavia and England.

An England which is suffering from a real ABBA-fever. The new ABBA-musical "Mamma Mia" creates hysteria at the box office in London. And the collection album "ABBA Gold - Greatest hits" is on top of the sales chart.

- Of course that creates a surge. I've heard fantasy-numbers from England when it comes to preorders of ABBA Teens' records, Anders Johansson says.

The expectations in Sweden are also high. The video from ABBA Teens first single "Mamma Mia" entered as a superior number 1 on SVT's (Swedish Television. Claes' note) "Voxpop"-chart last week. And now the recordstores want to start selling the single real soon.

-I've never experienced anything like this when it comes to a debut act.

From the beginning we were going to release "Mamma Mia" on May 17. But due to the great interest we have decided to release the single a week earlier, Anders Johansson says.

Will go to Australia

ABBA Teens' international launch won't end on the British islands. In the end of the summer TV-shows and interview sessions await in France and Germany. And in the end of the fall, the documented ABBA-crazy Australia will get to meet and hear ABBA Teens.

- It's very exciting. A year ago I was just an average girl and now we're going on a tour and we'll meet lots of funny people.

-But it also feels very weird. When I sit and do my homework and then suddenly I hear our song on the radio, it's still hard to believe that it's true, says Mare Serneholt, 16, of ABBA Teens.

But there won't be very much homework done the upcoming year?

-I'll wait and see. I start in upper secondary school this fall, but maybe it'll be a sabbatical year instead. This is what I've dreamed of. I just have to give it my best.
