CHESS På Svenska: Fan Review

After coming home late I found my chess box in my mailbox. Listening to it right now, I must say I'm impressed. I have such strong feelings after the first release in 1984 and the Chess live in concert the 29th of october 1984 was incredible. I have very strong feelings amongst that.

As I said, I'm quite impressed. I was affraid that the feeling of 1984 would be too strong. But it is different now. Benny (and ofcourse more people) succeed in making something of this time. The arrangements are wonderful, fresh and the sounds do a great job. And yes, I love "the arbiter" and yes, I love the singer. His way of "singing"/"acting" is refreshing, a counterpart of the rest of the singers. Belief me, that is important. He is just a funny and typical character.I already liked him at the show. The production is very modern, great!!

Ungern '56 is just fantastic, shivers. Lämna inga dörrar på glänt is a revelation. So new and fresh. I was a little fed up with Helen but I must admit she is perfect for this kind of material. Benny's influence is important for her, without it, I like her less...

Benny is only active if we may belief the booklet on "Han är en man..." and "Glöm ming om du kan" on grand piano. But ok, the rest is fine too.

BEAUTIFUL SO FAR!.
