Definitive Collection DVD - errors corrected! Universal Music has released a fixed version of 'The Definitive Collection' DVD. Many errors widely reported across ABBA fandom have been corrected: The misspelling of 'Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!' and the wrong image illustrating 'No hay a quien culpar' in the menu screens have been fixed. Footage edited into the 'Waterloo' and 'Head Over Heels' clips has been removed. The correct 'Ring Ring' remix has been used (the 1974 single remix, not the US album remix with extra saxophone breaks). The made-on-video clips 'Eagle', 'One Man, One Woman', 'Thank You For The Music' and 'Chiquitita' have not been put through the incorrect filter, and are crisp and clear. Other clips that were reported as "fuzzy" such as 'Head Over Heels' and 'The Day Before You Came' are also clearer. Unfortunately, 'On And On And On' still becomes out of synch. Synchronising of sound and picture seems to be improved. Small patches of pixilation at various times have been fixed. Presumably, the problem of the DVD freezing or stopping on some brand DVD players has been fixed. It's been reported that current stocks of the DVD are low in stores around the world. It is presumed that when new stocks arrive, they should be the new version. There is no way to tell the new version from the original from the packaging or disc. The quickest way to check for the new version is to play the disc and look at the menu screens - if 'Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!' is spelled correctly (not "Gimmie! Gimmie! Gimmie!'), it's the new version.
