'...it's the end of the party, and the morning seems so grey...'
Jeff hit the nail on the head really, and said it all. What a fabulous couple of days. The highlights were so many and so numerous, it's still hard to collect my thoughts 2 days later.
The best part, was that I was there, catching up with old faces (don't take that the wrong way), meeting new ones, laughing like a drain, drinking Fridori's like a fish, and generally just being thoroughly entertained.
Club ABBA was great fun, and the chat with Shelley was fantastic. So many stories and not enough chardonay. Even with two days and a smallish group, and I still didn't get around to a good chat with everyone, although if they chain-smoked and drank, I probably met them at the balcony or bar.
My last Australian convention with these guys was 15ish years ago, and on that occasion I was a bit timid, so I well and truly made up for it this time!
Hats off and tusen tack to Graeme and Ian, and Ian and John for a weekend that will live on and become infamous as 'THAT convention in November 1999.'
Now where's that Fridori.....
Cheers
