The Program: Videos on the big screen: We put together 2 highlights packages featuring the very best of Agnetha and the very best of Frida. Both solo and ABBA material was included. We also had a couple of songs from Kristina Från Duvemala (thanks to Micke from Sweden for narrating the Kristina footage for all of us). The whole thing was projected onto a large screen to enhance the experience! ABBA by request: We also put together a package of video favourites requested by people confirmed to attend Women of ABBA. ABBA Merchandise: We assembled some great ABBA stuff for people to buy including CDs, photos, videos and more. Meet the fans: Our previous Convention, ABBA - Australian Tour: The 20 Year Celebration, was all go-go-go, no time to talk. This time there was more opportunity to meet and get to know other ABBA fans. It was great to have a fan from England and one from Sweden at the event. Oprah?: The Oprah-style forum was great fun - people having their say and hearing what other people had to say. A few arguments developed but it was all in great fun! IRC: We had an international hook-up of ABBA fans through a computer link-up on Internet Relay Chat. We projected the whole thing onto the big screen. It was good for fans who don't have a computer/access to the internet to "meet" fans from around the world. The Show: John "Frida" McKechnie's tribute to Frida: 30 Years was a triumph. John performed some of Frida's best known songs along with Yolanda and Ian as backing vocalists. His performance was superb. "Club Abba": 4 whole hours of the best ABBA dance music including the best of Agnetha & Frida's solo material. People danced til they dropped. And even the bar person was an ABBA fan!
