On February 27th, 1977, some twenty five years ago, ABBA's legendary Australian concert tour began.

For many fans, this tour is the single most significant event in the history of the group known as ABBA. ABBA had never in their wildest dreams imagined that they would capture the hearts of an entire nation. An nation they barely knew existed. A nation on the other side of the world from their native Sweden.

ABBA never reached such unimaginable heights of popularity again, though their career expanded to include almost every country in the world.

To have been part of this tour, to live through this time is something so precious that most people, still calling themselves ABBA fans, remember it with awe. Some have even, perhaps, expected to see such a phenomenon again with another group or artist. But they never have and quite probably never will.

The powerful imagery created by ABBA - The Movie has penetrated the minds and souls of those fans who weren't even born at the time.

ABBA did a number of tours. But there was nothing like their 1977 Australian Tour.

ABBA achieved a large number of career milestones. But nothing ever surpassed those two weeks in 1977.

Each person reading this has, in one way or another, been touched by the magic created during that fortnight a quarter of a century ago.
