New death threats towards Agnetha

Agnetha Fältskog's comeback lead to what she feared.
A serious threat has been made towards the ABBA-star.
Yesterday her lifeguard reported it to the police

During 17 years Agnetha Fältskog escaped from the public. No record releases, no interviews.
This year she broke the silence. She released a single, an album and on Friday a documentary about her was shown.
The shy world star told about her new record and that there isn't one day without her thinking about ABBA.
Staffan Lindé, manger for Agnetha Fältskog, counts on that the fan mail will increase:
- Sadly not all mail is that nice, he says.
The majority of the unwelcome mails is just put in a certain place. But yesterday her lifeguard chose to do a police report. The threat contained things that made them take it seriously.
Earlier has Agnetha Fältskog taken help from the police to protect herself from stalking fans.
Most spoken-about is the Dutch Gert van der Graaf.
- We always think about him, said Johnny Lindh, police chief at Ekerö, to Expressen in March.

Conditional sentence
The latest threat is though supposed to have no connection to the Dutch man. About a year ago he was sentenced to conditional sentence and deportation for breaking the visit ban.
Staffan Lindé says that he is not aware of the police report that was made yesterday. But he is not surprised that the negative mail will increase after the documentary.
- It takes some time before the "dirty" fan mails come through, says Staffan Lindé.

But the police are very secret about the serious letter.

Agnetha Fältskog, the blond one­ fourth of Abba, is living surrounded by bodyguards around the clock these days. The police sent bodyguards to the star's home in the Stockholm archipelago after she had received a murder threat in a letter. The manager Staffan Linde says: ”Agneta receives a lot of letters, but this one was different and not nice at all.”

Fältskog, who had been having problems with stalkers and other maniacs for years is not that found of going out in public and tries to avoid it. Even before this letter arrived she was using bodyguards a lot.

Four years ago her former boyfriend Gert van der Graaf, was by court order forbidden to visit Agnetha. This after the couple had split and Gert had started to stalk Agnetha. And on top of this her house was hid by a lightning last month.

Ex-Abba star Agnetha Fältskog - now a recluse - is under 24-hour police guard after receiving a death threat.

Bodyguards were sent to her remote island hideaway near Stockholm after what The Sun describes as a "terrifying" letter arrived in her post.

It quotes her manager Staffan Linde as saying: "Agnetha receives many letters every day, but this one was different and serious."

Fältskog has been terrified of making public appearances for years.

She already had a live-in security team at her home, which she rarely leaves.

In 2000 she had former lover Gert van der Graaf banned from going near her after they broke up and he began stalking her.
