Frida in Munich  - Paul Carter Report

It was quite amazing to be there!

Frida performed to playback. She looked great and wore a cream suit. She was on stage about 10.20pm.

Jon Lord confirmed her appearance at his concert in Cologne.

She got a great reaction from the audience who was there (with one exception) and seemed to really appreciate the support.

Frida and Jon were interviewed after the performance about the song and their musical partnership. Jon spoke about Frida's vocie being able to express so many emotions and said how wonderful she was.

Some fans got into the rehearsals, where she did the song twice to playback.

The one downer was that when it became clear that Frida would not be singing live, one supposed 'fan' in the audience shouted out "sing live or go home". I couldn´t believe this. Frida heard what he said and appeared visibly upset by the comment. This was before she did her performance and while they were making various sound adjustments - she must have been quite nervous after being away from the stage for so long and this was a terrible comment - I wish I had seen him afterwards to tell him what I thought of his interruption.

But an amzing evening in all - more later - am at the airport and just about to get a return flight to LHR.
