ABBAMANIA!
This was ABBAMANIA in Australia, March 1977!
No set ups, no trick camerawork - just the reality of ABBAMANIA as it was in
Australia thirty years ago.
Note the yellow stickers that a few of the crowd are wearing - this is from The
Sun newspaper's ABBA "fan club" - you could send away
to get a free membership card and read about ABBA in regular columns in the
newspaper. It wasn't really a fan club, rather a
promotion to get more readers. However more than 350,000 people wrote in to
join.
