True, some on line sources don't deliver outside their own country or region - but many, many more do. Just about everything that has been commercially released in the world of ABBA is available to you via on-line shopping and international postal delivery. Here are just a few sources to explore...

Do you live in the USA?
You may have felt frustrated and excluded from ABBA DVD releases because most were released in PAL format, not NTSC (which is the colour system your DVD players, VHS Video records and televisions use). DVDs are also encoded into 6 regions depending on which part of the world they are manufactured in. Some are "Region 0" which means they play in all regions - others are tied to a particular Region - "Region 1" for North America & Canada.  Universal Music have released recent official ABBA DVDs as NTSC format which is good news for American fans!

But there's no problem if you want to buy a DVD from any part of the world in PAL or NTSC. You have two options

(1) Order from Canada
Far more commercially released ABBA CDs and DVDs were and are available in Canada. Canada uses the same colour system and region coding as the USA.

(2) Multi-format, Multi-zoned DVD players

Purchase a multi-format, multi-zone DVD player - DVD players that can play both PAL and NTSC discs and can play discs from all regions of the world are no longer outrageously expensive in the USA. They are far more commonplace now. Your large electronic retailers like Best Buy and even some Walmarts now stock DVD players that are both multi-zone and multi-format. Even Amazon.com has some for sale!

All you have to do is either check the net for the brand you're interested in and check the specifications. Or simply ask the salesperson at the store these questions:
- Will this model play DVDs in both PAL and NTSC formats? That is, will they play DVDs that are made in other parts of the world like Europe?
- Is this model multizoned? Will it play DVDs from Regions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

If they sound vague, move on to the next store! As we said, they're freely available now. One online source that ABBAMAIL list member have used successfully is, http://www.220depot.com/

So don't sit there and complain that you're missing out and that nothing ever gets released in the US - get out there and empower yourself - use on-line shopping to make being a stocked up ABBA fan a reality!
