About us

ABBAMAIL is an on-line community of ABBA fans.  We have a mission to keep ABBA fans in touch with the wide-world of ABBA - whether they live in Australia, America or Austria! Read our mission statement  to get an idea of why ABBAMAIL was created and what we are all about. We are a unique fan-based organisation run by fans for fans. Although ABBAMAIL was created to help the global ABBA fan community, it is not a fan club. ABBAMAIL is not officially endorsed or authorised by ABBA nor their associated companies. ABBAMAIL began life in January 1997as an internet mailing list to keep fans informed and has grown into the premiere ABBA fan website and is known as the most reliable and current source of information on the internet for all things ABBA.

ABBAMAIL's services include our internet mailing list, our comprehensive website, our fan forum, chat room, fan publications and fan events as well this small merchandise section. Our website receives around 30,000 hits each month. Whitread Pty Ltd is the company behind ABBAMAIL. It was set up in 1997 to ensure that ABBAMAIL's many activities were administrated properly. Graeme Read and Grant Whittingham are the people behind ABBAMAIL. They have all been involved in ABBA fandom since the 1970s when they ran the Australian ABBA Fan Club (1976-1983). Over the last 30 years they have been involved in running ABBA conventions, events, promoting ABBA releases and generally trying to improve the lot of ABBA fans around the world. ABBAMAIL is serious about ABBA and helping ABBA fans - we have an outstanding track record that speaks for itself.

The purpose of ABBAMAIL's merchandise section is to raise the necessary funds to keep the organisation running and to be able to continue to provide services for ABBA fans across the world. Our merchandise section does not compete with officially released material - a key part of ABBAMAIL's mission for the last 8+ years has been to promote, encourage and facilitate ABBA fans to buy the officially released CDs, Videos, Books and DVDs. ABBAMAIL merchandise is offered for 'hard core' ABBA fans who have all the official products and still aren't satisfied. They want to expand their ABBA fandom and experience more - whether that be by listening to an obscure unreleased track on a fan CD or watching an historical TV appearance on a fan video.

By purchasing ABBAMAIL merchandise, you are supporting ABBAMAIL's activities and helping to ensure that we can keep helping ABBA fans around the world! For more details contact  info@abbamail.com or on the main part of our website at  www.abbamail.com
